Robotic Surgery

At Hunt Regional Healthcare, we offer robotic surgery, a minimally invasive procedure that uses robotic technology to provide surgeons with a more precise and controlled view of the surgical field. This can lead to a number of benefits for patients, including:
Smaller incisions: Robotic surgery typically requires only small incisions, which can lead to less pain, less scarring, and a faster recovery.

Improved visualization: The robotic system provides surgeons with a 3D view of the surgical field, which can help them to identify and target areas of concern more precisely.
Greater precision: The robotic system allows surgeons to make more precise movements than they could with traditional surgical techniques. This can help to reduce the risk of complications and improve the outcome of surgery.

Robotic surgery is a safe and effective procedure that can offer a number of benefits for patients. If you are considering surgery, talk to your doctor about whether robotic surgery may be a good option for you.

Types of Robotic Surgery performed

Provides you with a personalized surgical plan based on your unique anatomy. First, a CT scan of the diseased joint is taken. This CT scan is uploaded into the Mako System software, where a 3D model of your joint is created. This 3D model is used to pre-plan and assist your surgeon in performing your joint replacement procedure.

The da Vinci Xi is the most advanced robotic-assisted surgical system manufactured by Intuitive. The surgeon operates the da Vinci Xi by making precise and steady movements from a console in the operating room. Tremor-free, intricate movements can be executed by the surgeon using the controls.
