Royse City, Texas – The new emergency department at Hunt Regional Medical Center Royse City opened for patient care on Monday, June 1, 2026. This state-of-the-art facility is located one-half mile east of FM 2642 on IH 30 in the western portion of Hunt County. The facility construction was completed in 2025 in conjunction with NexCore Group, a national healthcare real estate investment and development firm. The twelve-bed comprehensive ER joins several primary and specialty care clinics already seeing patients in this 65,000-square-foot medical building.
A multidisciplinary trauma team is accessible in the emergency department at all times. Experienced staff members enthusiastically transferred to this location to provide excellent, compassionate care to the Royse City and surrounding communities. New employees joined the team to fill additional needs. “This is a fast-growing area, and the increasing population has a need for advanced medical services,” stated Hunt Regional Healthcare CEO Lee Boles. “Most insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare, is accepted at our emergency department, and it is open 24 hours a day.”
An ambulance bay and helipad are located on the medical center site. AMR (American Medical Response, Inc.) provides ambulance coverage for Hunt County and Royse City. Other ambulance companies may transfer patients in and out as needed.
Please remember to dial 911 in a time-sensitive emergency so paramedics and EMTs can start care where you are, right away.
