Overview

Dr. Ashton Hierholzer, MD is a dedicated physician who recently completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, Texas. A former student-athlete who played collegiate soccer at Oklahoma State University while being actively involved in Pi Beta Phi sorority, Dr. Hierholzer brings the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance to her medical practice. She has been recognized for her compassion and leadership through induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her commitment to patient-centered care.

Throughout her training, Dr. Hierholzer has been actively engaged in quality improvement initiatives, medical education, and professional leadership. She served as Administrative Chief Resident her final year of residency and for multiple years represented her residency program at American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology District XI conferences. She has presented at regional and national conferences and contributed to peer-reviewed publications in fields ranging from urogynecology to neuroscience, and remains an active member of ACOG today.

Dr. Hierholzer remains deeply committed to community service and expanding access to care for underserved populations through her leadership work with organizations like St. Vincent’s House Student-Run Free Clinic. Outside of medicine, she enjoys fitness, recreational sports, and spending time with her Miniature Australian Shepherd, Sadie. Raised in nearby Heath, TX, Dr. Hierholzer looks forward to returning close to home to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that advances women’s health and wellness through every stage of life.
