Hunt Regional Medical Center offers a specialized therapy service for those living with Parkinson’s disease, called LSVT BIG® Therapy.
LSVT BIG is an innovative physical/occupational therapy program for improving motor skills in individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome.
The method was developed following rigorous research funded by the National Institutes of Health. More than 20 years’ research documents improved ratings on motor function tests following treatment of Parkinson’s disease patients.
