Volunteers
Volunteers play a key role in serving the Hunt Regional Healthcare system and our patients.
Active volunteers at Hunt Regional Healthcare facilities contribute thousands of hours each year, providing services to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
More than 50 hospital auxiliary members known as "Pink Ladies" are active volunteers at Hunt Regional Medical Center.
They staff the information desk and gift shop, deliver juice, flowers, and gifts to patients, and volunteer in several hospital departments.
Hunt Regional Medical Center volunteers donated $20,000 for special patient room furnishings for the maternity Center at the hospital. They also provide two annual $2,500 scholarships for graduating high school students pursuing medical careers.
Volunteers in Commerce also work to raise funds for their projects, which include purchases of equipment for the hospital. The Bargain Box, located at 1223 Washington St. in downtown Commerce, is staffed by Hunt Regional volunteers. All proceeds benefit Hunt Regional Emergency Medical Center at Commerce.
