Breast Cancer Screening
As an important and necessary part of women’s health, screening for breast cancer is something that we take very seriously. Our Imaging and Radiology center uses the most up-to-date digital imaging for our mammograms, providing faster, more detailed results that are made available to doctors on their office computers for analysis and comparison. And for your comfort and convenience, we offer:
- The new FDA-cleared Woman's Touch™ MammoPad™, with a soft, warm surface that eliminates much of the discomfort of having a mammogram.
- Screening on the go, through the Tubby Adkisson Mobile Mammography Coach.
In addition to mammograms, we also provide BRACAnalysis® testing. This genetic test is used to gauge your risk of breast and ovarian cancer by detecting the presence of a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation. Determining whether or not a mutation exists in either one of these genes can help your physician support you in the prevention, delay, or early detection of breast or ovarian cancer. Learn more about BRACAnalysis® testing.
Maternity Care
Hunt Regional also offers comprehensive maternity care, so that we can help deliver your miracle or be in your corner for the fight of your life.
The Truett and Margaret Crim Maternity Center delivers over 1,000 babies every year with modern labor and delivery suites, comfortable post-delivery rooms for parents and babies to get to know one another, and skilled nursing at every turn.
Should your child be born prematurely or with special needs, our Level 3 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) is adjacent to the maternity center to provide the necessary technology and expertise, along with compassionate care.
Education
We provide Childbirth and Family Education Classes to help prepare for the birth of your child.
