Outpatient Nutrition Services
Hunt Regional Medical Center dietitians are dedicated to providing nutrition education to individuals of all ages.
Whether you are interested in healthy eating, weight management, risk reduction, or if you need help managing a medical condition, our Registered Dietitians are the food and nutrition experts who can translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living.
When you meet with a dietitian at Hunt Regional Medical Center you will receive:
- An in-depth nutrition assessment including a review of your current diet and eating habits, an evaluation of your nutritional status and an analysis of your individualized nutritional needs
- Help setting your personal nutrition goals
- Nutrition education and tools to help you achieve your goals including written materials, help planning meals at home and when dining out, and label reading
Scheduling Information
Individual counseling is by appointment only. All nutrition counseling requires a referral from your doctor. Please ask your physician to fax the referral to us and we will call you to schedule the appointment.
Generally, initial consultations are scheduled for one hour, with follow-up sessions scheduled as needed.
