It is important to understand that you are responsible for payment, regardless of your insurance coverage or other factors involved in your treatment. When you are hospitalized, we will ask for your insurance information at the time of admission, along with your insurance identification card. The hospital will verify your coverage with your employer and/or insurance company.

A deposit may be requested if your insurance coverage is not sufficient to cover the anticipated bill.
We will bill your insurance company for payment. You will be asked to pay any deductibles, co-payments and the difference (if any) between the estimated insurance coverage and the hospital charges when you are discharged. You may pay these charges by cash, check, money order, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express. You may also pay online using your credit card or an e-check through your bank account.
Financing should be arranged ahead of time with your credit union, bank or other personal source of funds if you anticipate problems.
Slow payments from your insurance company can be a problem for you. You could be expected to pay the bill in full if your insurance carrier does not pay your bill on time. We would encourage you to discuss this problem with your insurance company.
Overpayments will be refunded promptly.
If you will be receiving (or have received) inpatient care, your total hospital bill will reflect charges accumulated during each day of your stay at Hunt Regional Medical Center. These charges will include all testing and surgical procedures that are performed, as well as any pharmaceuticals (i.e. pills, vaccines, IV medications, etc.) you are given while hospitalized.
Your hospital bill will not include fees for the professional services of your:

If you require services from one (or more) of the professionals above, you will receive a separate bill from each doctor who provides them. It is also important to note that these separate fees will not appear on an itemized hospital bill, should you request one.
Itemized Hospital Bills
If you would like to see a full list of services that you (or your insurance) are being billed for, an itemized hospital bill can be provided on request. An itemized bill lists out each individual charge accrued during the course of a hospital stay, which many patients prefer to review over traditional statements.

Coverage of Outpatient Services
Please check with your insurance provider for details about coverage of outpatient healthcare services offered by Hunt Regional Medical Center.
You will be asked for your insurance information when you visit one of our clinics or have diagnostic services performed. Other payment options can be discussed at that time or you may call ahead to ask questions about paying for outpatient services.
Healthcare services provided by your doctor are billed separately from hospital charges.
