Bio
Dr. Isabella Bortolussi-Mays brings a unique academic background and growing expertise in rheumatology. Originally from Lago Vista, Texas, Dr. Bortolussi-Mays earned her degree in Forensic Anthropology with a minor in Spanish from Texas State University before pursuing her medical education at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed her clinical years in Crystal River, Florida, and is currently focused on developing her expertise in rheumatology.
Dr. Bortolussi-Mays has been happily married to her husband, Ryon, since 2020, and together they share their home with two beloved dogs, Arlo and Kiku. Her diverse academic journey included some fascinating hands-on experience—during her undergraduate studies, she worked at a Decomposition Center/Body Farm, gaining unique insights into forensic science that have contributed to her analytical approach to medicine and patient care.
