Hunt Regional awarded accreditation from The Joint Commission for 2020-2023
Hunt Regional Medical Center and Hunt Regional Home Care have earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
Hunt Regional underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review. During the visit, a team of reviewers evaluated compliance with The Joint Commission standards spanning several areas including environment of care, infection prevention and control, and leadership.
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
2019 Office of Attorney General Award for Acknowledgment of Paternity
Hunt Regional Medical Center's health information management (HIM) department received the 2019 Exemplary Five Star Service Award from the Texas Department of State Health Services’ vital statistics unit. The award is based on accurate and timely reporting of birth records. Hunt Regional is one of only 14 hospitals in the state of Texas to receive the exemplary award.
In addition to the Five Star Service Award, the HIM department also received the 2019 Office of Attorney General Award for Acknowledgment of Paternity. Hunt Regional Medical Center maintained a quality control score of 100%, demonstrating perfect accuracy for paternity records they submitted.
Hospital Preparedness Program
Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville has been recognized by the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (NCTTRAC) for its 100% performance in the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), a program by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
HPP prepares the health care systems to save lives during emergencies and disasters.
Wound Care Center of Distinction Award
The Wound Care Center at Hunt Regional Medical Center has earned the Center of Distinction Award for outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months. The Wound Care Center received patient satisfaction scores higher than 92 percent and a wound healing rate of 91% in less than 31 median days.
5-star CMS rating
Hunt Regional Home Care received a 5-star rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Only 1.9% of all home health agencies across the country achieved 5-star status.
Texas Department of State Health Services Five Star Service Award
Hunt Regional Medical Center's health information management (HIM) department received the award from the Texas Department of State Health Services’ vital statistics unit for accurate and timely reporting. Hunt Regional is one of only 48 hospitals in the state of Texas to receive the award.
Top Pharmacy Award
Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville was named the recipient of the Complete Pharmacy Award, presented by CompleteRx. CompleteRx is a pharmacy management company which provides consulting and leadership services to hospitals across the nation. The HRMC pharmacy team was only one of three pharmacies to receive the prestigious award.
Joint Commission “Top Performer” Award
Hunt Regional Medical Center was named a "Top Performer" on key quality measures by The Joint Commission, the nation's leading accreditor of health care organizations. The Top Performer ranking singles out hospitals for exceptional performance on key measures.
Top Hospital in Infection Prevention
We're proud to have been listed by Consumer Reports as one of only 37 hospitals in the country to receive their highest rating in preventing surgical-site infections, central-line infections, and infections stemming from urinary catheters.
Top Energy-Reducing Hospital
Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville was named the winner of the Texas Energy Roundup competition. The Texas Association of Healthcare Facility Management (TAHFM) awarded the honor based on the hospital’s success in reducing overall energy consumption by more than 16.2 percent from the previous year.
Excellence in Transparency Award
T-System Inc. honored Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville as the winner of the Excellence in Transparency award. The healthcare award recognizes emergency care facilities and physician groups who partner with T-System effectively to improve their quality of patient care, operational processes and financial results.
