March 30 is National Doctors' Day

3/15/2017

Each year on March 30, Hunt Regional Healthcare recognizes National Doctors’ Day—a day to celebrate the hard work and care provided by the physicians in our hospital and in private practices throughout our communities.

The first Doctors' Day observance was held in Winder, Georgia in 1933. In 1990, President George Bush signed into law a joint resolution officially establishing March 30 as National Doctors' Day.

Today, Hunt Regional physicians include emergency room physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, specialists, radiologists, internal medicine practitioners, and family medicine providers. Covering the areas of neurology, obstetrics, orthopedics, urology, cardiology, pulmonology, behavioral health, wound care, gastroenterology, and more, Hunt Regional physicians are a highly trained and talented group of professionals.

Hunt Regional physicians are actively involved in the community, sacrificing countless personal hours to promote wellness in Northeast Texas. The annual Doctors’ Day celebration gives healthcare workers and patients an opportunity to express their gratitude for their compassion and medical knowledge.

Hunt Regional will honor physicians this year with a private breakfast on March 30. We invite you to join us in saying thank you to the physicians of Hunt Regional Healthcare by submitting a note of thanks. If you would like to thank your doctor, click here to submit an online message.
