Hunt Regional Healthcare Foundation to host music-themed “Boots & Bling” gala April 12

3/19/2018

Hunt Regional Healthcare Foundation invites friends and supporters to break out their diamonds and western-inspired cocktail attire next month for a night of dinner, dancing, and music at the organization’s yearly gala fundraiser. The Thirteenth Annual Music is the Best Medicine Foundation Gala will be held Thursday, April 12. The event moves from Commerce to Greenville this year and will take place at Innovation First International in Greenville.

This year’s “Boots and Bling” theme offers attendees a chance to enjoy an evening of style and song while supporting advancements in local healthcare. Country band Crossfire will headline the event, encouraging guests to dance along to a set list of classics from artists such as George Strait and Waylon Jennings, as well as a variety of western music.

The foundation’s signature spring event, the gala brings together supporters from businesses and individuals throughout Hunt County and surrounding areas. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the foundation and foundation projects throughout the Hunt Regional Healthcare organization. In addition to providing ongoing support to FitSTEPS for Life—a fitness program designed to enhance the health of cancer patients pre- and post-remission—gala proceeds this year will also support the Level III neonatal intensive care unit and the orthopedics sports medicine program at Hunt Regional Medical Center.

Guests will have the opportunity to take a chance on several concurrent activities throughout the night. A silent auction will run during the reception, starting at 5:45 p.m. A raffle will also take place the night of the event for a pair of diamond hoop earrings donated by Jan and David Williams of Taylor Brothers Jewelers in Greenville. Set in 14K white gold, the earrings feature 3-carats of 56 round brilliant diamonds and are valued at $6,000. Raffle tickets are priced at $10 and are available for purchase at Taylor Brothers Jewelers, from any HRHF board member, or in the foundation office on the first floor of HRMC.

Gala tickets are priced at $100. To learn more about the event, purchase tickets, or for sponsorship information, visit www.musicisthebestmedicinegala.com or call 903-408-1068.
