HRMC recognized for emergency preparedness

9/9/2019

Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville has been recognized by the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (NCTTRAC) for its 100% performance in the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), a program by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

HPP prepares the health care systems to save lives during emergencies and disasters. Disaster events can exceed the day-to-day capacity and capability of emergency response systems. HPP provides federal funding for health care delivery system readiness, intended to improve patient outcomes, minimize the need for federal and supplemental state resources during emergencies, and enable rapid recovery.
